Daily Public Tours of the Collection
Free docent-led tours of our collection are available Tuesday through Friday at 10:30 am, and on Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 pm. Tours depart from the Information Center in Sculpture Hall and last approximately one hour.
School and Group Tours
All groups, whether led by a Museum docent or self-guided by a teacher, must contact the Museum to arrange a tour. Allow at least four weeks' advance notice. Groups without advance reservations cannot be assured that their preferred galleries or times will be available.
Schedule a Tour
To schedule a tour, complete the online
tour request form.
School and Group Tours are free and may be led by a trained docent (if requested) or may be self-guided by the teacher or group leader. Groups should include at least 15 and no more than 60 people; school groups should include adequate adult supervision: one adult per 10 children.
Fees
All tours are free. An admission fee is charged for featured exhibitions. A special student group rate of $1 per student is available (reservations required at least 4 weeks in advance).
School Bus Drop-Off
There are drop-off spaces on Fine Arts Drive near the Museum's north entrance. If you approach the Museum from the east, your students will need to cross Fine Arts Drive. To avoid crossing traffic, we suggest that you plan to approach the Museum from the west. (See map below)
Group Entrance
Groups are asked to enter the Museum through the north entrance and sign in at the Information Desk to ensure that Museum staff has emergency contact information for the group.
Bus Parking
Forest Park policy states that bus drivers planning to wait while their passengers are visiting the Museum must obtain a parking permit from the Parks Office atleast two weeks prior to the scheduled visit at a cost of $5. Bus parking is only allowed in the lots designated below. Additional information about the required permit can be obtained by calling the Parks Office at 314.289.5330. Any buses parking in an unauthorized lot and/or not using a permit may be issued a summons by the park ranger or park police.
