Bring the whole family to the Saint Louis Art Museum for art-inspired fun.

Family Sundays
You’re invited to the Museum every Sunday afternoon for hands-on art activities and a lively 30-minute family tour through the Galleries. Each month’s family activities focus on a different, family-friendly theme. Family Tour leaves at 2:30 pm. Sign up for the Family tour is required, and starts in Grigg Gallery at 1:00 pm each Sunday

March 6, 20, and 27
The French Connection
Viva la France! Stroll along the Seine with Claude Monet or strike a pose with Edgar Degas’ Little Dancer during Family Sundays in March. Each week will feature a French inspired art activity and tour of the collection.

April

Sunday, April 3, 10, 17, and 24

Designing Nature
People across the world celebrate the beauty of nature through the production of art. Natural motifs are used to decorate everything from prayer rugs and household objects, to the personal regalia of kings. Family Sundays in April will explore the Museum’s collection of Islamic and Indian art with activities and family tours that combine art and nature.

Celebrate Earth Day with Family Sundays. The afternoon will include a nature-themed art activity, live music in the Grace Taylor Broughton Sculpture Garden, and a special appearance by the Butterfly House.

Art Transformers
When is a dot not a dot? Or a car not a car? Discover the answer with Family Sundays at the Saint Louis Art Museum. Throughout the month of May we’ll feature artworks and artists who take everyday objects and symbols and transform them into amazing sculptures, paintings, and mixed-media masterpieces.

Seeing Shapes
Shapes are one of the basic elements of art and they can be found in many of the artworks in the Museum’s collection. Spot the shapes in the paintings and sculptures in our galleries then create your own art inspired by what you see.



Family Classes
Join us to look at and make amazing art—no experience necessary. Museum classes give young learners the opportunity to explore different cultures, time periods, and, of course, art!
