Family Sundays
You’re invited to the Museum every Sunday afternoon for hands-on art activities and a lively 30-minute family tour through the Galleries. Each month’s family activities focus on a different, family-friendly theme. Family Tour leaves at 2:30 pm.

October

Gateway to the West
Sundays in October, 1:00 – 4:00 pm
This month, the Museum joins the annual American Arts Experience in St. Louis—explore the American frontier in the galleries every Sunday in October. Stop in to learn about the taming of the great American west with art activities and a family tour inspired by the Museum's collection of American art.

November

Island Hoping
Sundays in November, 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Set sail with Family Sundays in November! Our island getaway will include stops in Hawaii, New Zealand, and Fiji as we explore the Museum's special exhibition Atua: Sacred Gods from Polynesia. Each week will include island-inspired art projects and a water-themed tour of the permanent collection. The month concludes on November 30th with an energetic and interactive performance of authentic Polynesian dance and music (in the Farrell Auditorium 2:00 pm.*)

Thanksgiving Weekend Special Family Program
Friday and Saturday, November 28 and 29
Bring the entire family to the Museum over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend for Atua-related art projects and special activities. On Saturday, November 29, join us in the Farrell Auditorium for a special screening of Disney's Lilo and Stitch at 2:00 pm.*

December

Winter Celebrations
Sundays in December, noon–4:00 pm
Drop in for a winter celebration every Sunday in December. Experience a different culture each week with art activities, scavenger hunts, performances, and special treats.

Kwanzaa: Honoring Our Past,Strengthening Our Present
Sunday, December 28, noon–4:00 pm
Kwanzaa program sponsored in collaboration with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., St. Louis Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter.



Family Classes
Join us to look at and make amazing art—no experience necessary. Museum classes give young learners the opportunity to explore different cultures, time periods, and, of course, art!
