You’re invited to the Museum every Sunday afternoon for hands-on art activities and a lively 30-minute family tour through the Galleries. Each month’s family activities focus on a different, family-friendly theme. Family Tour leaves at 2:30 pm.

Winter CelebrationsDecember 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29
Visit the Museum in December for multicultural winter celebrations! Bring your entire family in to enjoy art activities inspired by Diwali, Hanukkah, Our Lady of Guadalupe, and Christmas holiday traditions. Each week will include special treats, performances, and scavenger hunts that teach about these different cultural groups. We'll finish the month with a Kwanzaa celebration!

Walk Like an EgyptianJanuary 5, 12, 19, and 26
From ancient hieroglyphics to elaborately crafted grave goods, each week's activity and tour will feature a different aspect of Ancient Egyptian art and culture. By the end of month, your entire family will walk like an Egyptian.
Africa SpeaksFebruary 2, 9, 16, and 23
Celebrate Black History Month with art activities and tours that highlight the artistic links between Africa and African Americans. Learn African American cultural inheritance and history with a tour of the Museum and complete an art project inspired by the African and African American works in our collection.
Call of the WildMarch 9, 16, 23, and 30
Lions, tigers, and bears! Oh my! Explore the great outdoors and its creatures on Sundays in January. With a tour of the galleries, discover works of art inspired by creatures found on land, in the air, and under the sea.
Each of these child-centered workshops combines a playful visit to the galleries with an art activity. Adults participate and create along with children — no experience necessary. Pre-registration is required.
