Family Sundays: Island Hopping

1:00–4:00 pm
Set sail with Family Sundays in November! Artistic island stopovers will include visits to Hawaii, New Zealand, and Fiji as Family Sundays celebrate the Museum's special exhibition Atua: Sacred Gods from Polynesia. Each week will include island-inspired art projects such as soap-carving and Pacific island mask-making, plus family-friendly, water-themed tours of the permanent collection. The month concludes with an energetic and interactive performance of authentic Polynesian dance and music with the group Hui Hula 'O Punahele Hula Halau.

Looking to get out of the house with your family Thanksgiving weekend but don't want to endure the mall? The Museum will be expanding its usual Family Sunday fun into the whole weekend with art projects, tours, scavenger hunts, and a special, free screening of Lilo and Stitch in the auditorium on Saturday.
