SUMMARY:Artists in Conversation: Action/Abstraction Redefined
DESCRIPTION:To celebrate the opening of the exhibition Action/Abstraction Redefined: Modern Native Art\, 1940s–1970s\, three artists whose artwork is featured in the exhibition will discuss their time at the Institute of American Indian Arts and reflect on how it shaped their work. Alexander Brier Marr\, SLAM’s Associate Curator for Native American Art\, will moderate the discussion with artists Anita Fields\, Linda Lomahaftewa\, and Alfred Young Man. \nThis program will be offered in person at the Museum and will also be livestreamed.
