Friends of American Art and Design members are invited to enjoy a lecture by Suzanne Smeaton on the evolution of American frame design and construction between the years 1820 and 1920. Ms. Smeaton will highlight the factors that contribute to the successful marriage of painting and frame and will discuss issues such as conservation and restoration of period frames.
