DESCRIPTION:As part of the public opening of Visions of Antiquity\, St. Louis Classical Guitar will present a short concert exploring how the expansion of harmony and vocal expression in the Renaissance period has parallels to the development of jazz vocal music from the 20th century. The concert will feature Renaissance and early Baroque guitar music performed by Patrick Rafferty\, a classical guitarist and early music expert. The second half of the concert will feature Kim Fuller\, jazz vocalist; Dan Rubright\, guitar; Steve Davis\, drums; and Dan Eubanks\, acoustic bass. \nNo tickets are required for this free concert. Doors open at 6:30 pm.

Fellini Satyricon won the Pasinetti Award for Best Italian Film at the 30th Venice International Film Festival\, and Federico Fellini was nominated for the Academy Award for best director. \nAn introduction to the film will be provided by Scott Weiss\, senior advancement writer at Washington University in St. Louis and author of The Neronian Grotesque. The film is in Italian and Latin with English subtitles. Rated R\, 2 hours\, 9 minutes.
