DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to the Museum for Family Sunday! Enjoy hands-on art activities and special interactive components for kids within the galleries. Family Sunday activities focus on a different\, family-friendly theme each time. This Family Sunday is inspired by the William P. Healey Collection\, which is on view through Native American Art of the 20th Century: The William P. Healey Collection. \nStudent Beading Demonstration and Powwow Information Booth\n1-4 PM Sculpture Hall\nVisit with this year’s Powwow Co-Chairs Kayleigh Moulton and Ashlyn Newcomb\, WashU Students and members of the Cherokee Nation. Learn all about beading and The Buder Center Powwow at Washington University which is FREE and Open to the Public on Saturday April 6\, 2024. \n1 PM & 2 PM Storytelling\nGrigg Gallery 216\nJoin Maria Hussman of Suburban Wigwam in telling stories\, dancing\, and crafts. Maria Hussman is Anishinaabe seamstress and crafter who creates and sells traditional and contemporary clothing\, regalia\, and sundries\, including clothing\, jewelry\, beadwork\, and home decor.  In addition to her creative practice she also works on education by sharing stories from her culture. \n2:30 PM TOUR\nJoin us for a tour of connected artwork found in the Saint Louis Art Museum collection with a 30-minute Family Tour. Space is limited\, and sign-up is required. Sign-up is available only on-site and begins at 1 pm in Sculpture Hall. The Family Tour leaves at 2:30 pm from Sculpture Hall.
