DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to the Museum every Sunday for hands-on art activities and special interactive components for kids within the galleries. Each week’s activities focus on a different\, family-friendly theme. \nJoin us for an art activity inspired by The Culture: Hip Hop and Contemporary Art in the 21st Century that involves sound! \nSaint Louis Story Stitchers Artists Collective\, beat-making workshop\nGARAGE LAB\, SCULPTURE HALL\n2-4 PM\nLearn the basics of composing your own beats from two of Saint Louis Story Stichers’ beat producers in this interactive demonstration! \nSaint Louis Story Stitchers is a nationally recognized Artists Collective known for high quality art and innovative youth violence prevention programs. Stitchers collect stories\, reframe and retell them through art\, writing and performance to promote understanding\, civic pride\, intergenerational relationships and literacy. \nNeighbors Impacting Commmunities\, Dance Performance\nSCULPTURE HALL\n2:00 PM\nNeighbors Impacting Communities (N.I.C.)\, a non-profit organization in North County\, celebrates school-age (K-12) children with a special focus on inclusion and diversity of all children in the metro St. Louis area. \nCOMMUNITY BOJAGI– FAMILY FRIENDLY SEWING PROJECT\nEDUCATION CENTER 1-4 PM\nJoin us for a month-long artist-led sewing project to create a community tapestry inspired by a traditional Korean textile form called bojagi (wrapping or covering cloth commonly made from silk or ramie). \nCustomize a fabric patch and learn how to stich them together! Your unique artwork will then be added to this collaborative tapestry. \nThe completed Community Bojagi will be unveiled during Family Sunday\, on September 24\, 2023. Artwork will be on display in the concourse on Level 1 until October 1. \n  \n
