Out of concern for the health and safety of our visitors, staff and volunteers, and the potential spread of COVID-19 in our city and region, the Saint Louis Art Museum will close for at least four weeks beginning March 16. All public programs and events are canceled.
Members are invited to hear about the behind-the-scenes of planning our 2021 exhibition Art along the Mississippi: A Bicentennial Celebration. Melissa Wolfe, curator of American art, and Amy Torbert, assistant curator of American art, will share their stories of searching through small towns throughout the United States and large art institutions such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art to handpick the perfect objects to represent art originating from the Missouri region.
Complimentary coffee and tea will be available before the presentation begins.
