Friends of American Art and Design Members are invited to enjoy a lecture exploring the beauty of glass as well as how it expresses the cultural, technological, and artistic aspirations of those who live and work in the United States. From blown-molded flasks emblazoned with political imagery to the pressed glass that brought the United States to the fore of the Industrial Revolution to contemporary works that transform glass into a medium of protest and personal expression, glass is an ever-present part of the nation’s artistic heritage.
Registration is required. RSVP before January 6 to 314.655.5365 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Collectors Circle programs at the Saint Louis Art Museum are presented by the Betsy and Thomas Patterson Foundation.
