SUMMARY:Teacher Workshop—Anselm Kiefer: Becoming the Sea
DESCRIPTION:In this workshop\, teachers will tour Anselm Kiefer: Becoming the Sea with Melissa Venator\, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Assistant Curator of Modern Art\, who helped organize the exhibition\, to learn about Kiefer’s sources of inspiration\, working method\, and ongoing exploration and incorporation of a wide range of materials in his art. Following the tour\, workshop participants will create mixed-media artist books informed by Kiefer’s working process. \nEnrollment is free and is on a first-come\, first-served basis. Space is limited\, and enrollment requests are considered with regard to equitable school and/or school district representation. A boxed meal and materials will be provided.
