ACCREDITATIONS AND AFFILIATIONS

American Association of Museums (AAM)
Founded in 1906, the American Association of Museums (AAM) represents the entire scope of museums and museum professionals. They promote excellence and standards throughout the museum community and offer accreditation to cultural institutions who meet strict criteria. The Saint Louis Art Museum has been accredited by AAM since 1973.

French Regional & American Museum Exchange (FRAME)
French Regional and American Museum Exchange is a consortium of 26 museums in France and North America that promotes cultural diplomacy in the context of museum exchanges. FRAME fosters partnerships among its member museums to develop exhibitions, innovative educational and public programs, and professional exchanges among museum staff, and maintains a bi-lingual website to reach global audiences.

Metropolitan Zoological Park & Museum District (ZMD)
The Saint Louis Art Museum is a member of the ZMD, one of the largest tax supported cultural districts in the country. Other member organizations include the Saint Louis Zoological Park, the Missouri Botanical Garden, the Saint Louis Science Center, and the Missouri History Museum.
