Workshop: Layers of Abstraction
Join Kevin McCoy, artist and co-founder of WORK/PLAY, as he leads a workshop inspired by mixed media artworks by Black abstract artists in The Thelma and Bert Ollie Memorial Collection at the Museum. This hands-on artmaking workshop will also provide the rare opportunity to visit the Museum’s Print Study Room to see artworks that are not currently on view in the galleries by artists Sam Gilliam, Al Loving, Mary Lovelace O’Neal, Frank Wimberly, and more.
This workshop is open to adults with all skill levels, no previous art experience necessary. Space is limited.
