NOTES
This bell has a pointed elliptical cross section that is related to its acoustical properties. It is decorated with four fields of nine bosses, a level rim, and a flat top. The suspension hanger was originally formed by two intertwined dragons whose heads have been broken off. The surface of the bell is embellished with intricate interlaced bands, volutes, and spiral patterns. It is covered with light green patina. After casting, it was tuned by gouging away metal from two areas on the interior walls. This bell produces a single acoustical tone of F3.
