NOTES
The almond-shaped eyes and softly rounded cheeks of this face reflect a carving style established 300 years earlier. Egyptian artists working in the Late period looked back thousands of years for inspiration. However, this sculptor introduced new features as well, such as the high rounded wig with a defined line across the forehead and curved eyebrows that meet the outline of the nose.
