NOTES
This picture focuses on the "Big Dig" construction project in Boston. The dark silhouette of a crane extends the vertical length of the image, while a commuter train passes over the concrete forms of the construction area. Photographer Nicholas Nixon used a telephoto lens to compact the scene into an intriguingly dense and layered composition.
