NOTES
The structure of a pyramid, defined in fine concentric lines, creates the pulsing zigzag pattern of this woven furnishing fabric. For his first collection of textiles, celebrated British-Ghanaian architect David Adjaye mined the rich diversity of African textile traditions and his extensive travels across the African continent. This pattern gets its title, Meroe, from an ancient city in the present-day Sudan.
