Summer Artful Adventures is a free youth art program offered to community groups and summer camps in the Saint Louis area. Designed for groups of 10 to a maximum of 30, with age 5-12 learners in mind, this 75-minute program includes an art activity and an interactive tour. Summer Artful Adventures will be offered daily Tuesday through Friday, June 16 – July 31, 2026, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, with no sessions offered June 30 – July 3.
Community groups may choose how they would like to take part in the program through the following options:
In-Person Tour & Artmaking
Enjoy a guided tour led by Museum Teen Assistants, followed by a hands-on artmaking activity at the Museum.
In-Person Tour & Take-and-Make Art Kits
Take part in a guided tour with Museum Teen Assistants, then receive a short demonstration of the art activity. Afterward, groups will take art kits back to their organization or home to complete the project at their own pace. (Take-and-Make Art Kits can be requested through the registration form.)
During each program, youth will explore a wide variety of works in the Museum’s collection and learn about the tools and materials artists use. Programs can be adapted for different age groups with advance notice, and transportation support is available upon request.
Registration is now open, and groups will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, please contact community@slam.org
