Adult Workshop: Layers of Abstraction
Join Kevin McCoy, artist and cofounder of work/play, as he leads a workshop inspired by mixed-media artworks by Black Abstract artists in the Thelma and Bert Ollie Memorial Collection at the Museum. This hands-on art-making workshop will also provide the rare opportunity to visit the Museum’s Print Study Room to see artworks that are not currently on view in the galleries by artists Mary Lovelace O’Neal and Frank Wimberly.
This workshop is open to adults with all skill levels—no previous art experience necessary. Space is limited.
This program is supported by the Ronald M. and Monique M. Ollie Education Endowment Fund for Abstraction by Black Artists.
