American Girl: Determination, Innovation, and Triumph
Chamber Project Saint Louis will highlight female composers and artwork in the collection in a unique collaborative performance. American Girl: Determination, Innovation, and Triumph will feature the world premiere of Tomorrow’s Garden by Stephanie Berg, as well as music by Pulitzer Prize winners Ellen Taaffe Zwilich and Caroline Shaw, and works by historic composers such as Amy Beach, Zenobia Powell Perry, and Florence Price. With narration by curators Melissa Wolfe and Amy Torbert, each composer will be linked through story or style to an artist or work of art.
