Art at the Table: Uncle Nearest Dinner
Combining fine dining and great art, this Art at the Table will highlight Uncle Nearest Tennessee Whiskey Company and The Culture: Hip Hop and Contemporary Art in the 21st Century. The dinner will lead off with a docent-led tour of several of the galleries to learn about three of the six themes highlighted in the exhibition: language, adornment, and pose. A purchased ticket is required, and space is limited.
The tour is followed with a dinner and presentation led by Uncle Nearest’s LaVar Douglas that begins at 6 pm. This five-course dinner by Executive Chef Joe Gardner will pair dishes with whiskey by Uncle Nearest. Douglas will give a tour of the brand’s history and make pairings to each of the dishes. Dinner includes whiskey pairings, tax, gratuity, and parking. Douglas and Gardner will make the rounds after dinner for a Q&A with diners.
