Artist Talk: Oscar Murillo
Artist Oscar Murillo examines notions of cultural exchange, globalization, labor, and action through his monumental paintings that reflect the processes of their making. Join a conversation between Murillo and Hannah Klemm, associate curator of modern and contemporary art, as they discuss his recent paintings created in his Colombian hometown, La Paila, where he has resided during the COVID-19 pandemic. The paintings will be on view at the Museum in Currents 121: Oscar Murillo, starting March 18, 2022.
This virtual program will take place via Zoom and will include opportunities for participants to ask questions with the Q&A feature. Attendees’ mics and cameras will not be activated. This event will have automated closed captions.
Attendees must register to receive the Zoom link. Capacity for the live program is limited.
A closed-captioned recording of the program will become available on the Museum’s YouTube channel and website in the weeks following.
