About Our Family Doing Yoga

The mission of Our Family’s Doing Yoga is to increase representation for Black kids and families in yoga, mindfulness, and wellness. OFDY was created through the personal need of their founder SonJoria Sydnor and her family. Due to the lack of resources, experiences, and representation for Black kids in aspects of yoga and wellness, Sydnor sought to increase visibility for Black children and families like hers. They feel that it is important not only for Black kids to see themselves represented in wellness but for all kids to know that Black kids do yoga.

About Kidz Play STL

Jamean Flowers is the founder of Kidz Play STL, and the proud mom of a bright, beautiful little girl named Jayla. When Jayla was diagnosed with autism, their world shifted in the most unexpected and powerful way. Flowers began to see how much joy, connection, and growth could happen through play—especially when it’s inclusive, sensory-friendly, and made with love. That’s how Kidz Play was born: out of a deep desire to create fun, engaging, and meaningful experiences, not just for her daughter but for all kids. Kidz Play STL does what they do because every child deserves to feel celebrated, seen, and supported while having the time of their lives.

Generous support provided by Art Bridges Foundation’s Access for All program.
