About the performers
Since 1941, audiences have come to expect musical excellence and passion from The Bach Society of Saint Louis. As St. Louis’s oldest continuous semiprofessional chorus, more than 60 singers gather weekly for rehearsals to present a varied concert season each year. Committed to artistic excellence, the ensemble performs major choral-orchestral masterpieces throughout the St. Louis region, featuring works written or inspired by Johann Sebastian Bach. This year, Maestro A. Dennis Sparger celebrates his 40th anniversary as music director and conductor of The Bach Society of Saint Louis, now in its 85th season.
