Collectors Circle—Pendulum and Beyond: Building Worlds Across Media
Join artist Manuel Mathieu in a conversation exploring the short film Pendulum as part of his larger project of world-building, where painting, film, installation, mosaic, and now perfume converge into a continuous ecosystem of ideas and symbolism. The discussion will be guided by Justice Henderson, 2023–2025 Romare Bearden Graduate Museum Fellow.
Mathieu’s practice integrates memory, spirituality, and history into multisensory forms that challenge conventional ways of inhabiting space. His work creates environments that blur boundaries between disciplines while reimagining how institutions and audiences engage with art.
