About the tour
The imagery and monumental scale of Kiefer’s works recognize the power of water, whether metaphorically, metaphysically, or spiritually. For Native cultures, the rivers and waters of Turtle Island are that and more. McClain-Kloeckener will lead a tour based on her Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) view of historical and present-day reciprocal relations with the Mississippi River.
