Exploring with the Artist—Roman Art in the Time of Trajan
In this interdisciplinary workshop, high school students will visit Ancient Splendor: Roman Art in the Time of Trajan with Hannah Segrave, associate curator of European art to 1800, to learn how the emperor Trajan invested in art and architecture to shape civic life in the ancient Roman world. Following the tour, students will learn about traditional mosaic techniques and complete a take-home mosaic project.
Lunch will be provided. Registration is required, and space is limited.
