In this interdisciplinary workshop, high school students will visit Ancient Splendor: Roman Art in the Time of Trajan and learn about the power of art as a political and social tool and how the emperor Trajan invested in art and architecture to shape civic life in the ancient Roman world. Students will then create their own artworks inspired by concepts they have explored in the exhibition led by local artist Sue Giannotti.

Lunch will be provided. Registration is required, and space is limited.

About Sue Giannotti

Sue Giannotti is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and is the founder of Mosaic Opus Studio, where she creates original mosaic artworks and architectural commissions. Originally trained in Italy, she uses millennia-tested tools, techniques, and materials to create contemporary work.
