Family Sunday activities focus on a different, family-friendly theme each time. Explore the fascinating and complex real-life stories of the people depicted in Museum portraits—and what their voices might tell us now.

Metro Theater Company brings Robert Henri’s painting Betalo Rubino, Dramatic Dancer to life though improvisation inspired by imagined “otherworldly” conversations, inspired by the book Betalo’s Life After Death, written the late Rubino’s husband. The interactive performance asks: How might other portraits from the past come to life through dialogue? What stories, secrets, or reflections might they share with us today?
