Family Sunday—AAPI Heritage Month Celebration
Family Sunday activities focus on a different, family-friendly theme each time. This week, join SLAM in honoring Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month with art-making activities and more. AAPI Heritage Month celebrates the cultures and contributions of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders across the United States.

Family Sunday schedule
1–4 pm, Sculpture Hall
Enjoy hands-on art activities with special interactive components for kids in Sculpture Hall’s Create Lab.
1–4 pm, Sculpture Hall
Explore traditional Asian instruments in this hands-on music station presented by the Asian American Civic Scholars.
1:30–2:30 pm, The Farrell Auditorium
Listen to the musical stylings of top AAPI youth musical ensembles organized by the Asian American Civic Scholars. Performers include, Thunder Drum Team, St. Louis Youth Ambassadors Orchestra, Radhanika School of Dance, Dances of India, Lily Wang, St. Louis Academy of Dance, Zyi Li Music & Entertainment, and more.
2:30–3 pm, Sculpture Hall
Join us for a 30-minute tour of related artwork found in the Saint Louis Art Museum collection. Space is limited, and sign-up is required. Sign-up begins at 1 pm in Sculpture Hall. The Family Tour leaves at 2:30 pm from the welcome desk.
