Family Sunday—Community Bojagi Kick Off
You’re invited to the Museum every Sunday for hands-on art activities and special interactive components for kids within the galleries. Each week’s activities focus on a different, family-friendly theme.
Create your own bag representative of your identity during this Family Sunday highlighting Korean sewing practices.
Check out this Patchwork Wrapping Cloth (jogakbo) example in the Museum’s collection.
Community Bojagi– Family Friendly Sewing Project
Education Center 1-4 PM
Join us for a month-long artist-led sewing project to create a community tapestry inspired by a traditional Korean textile form called bojagi (wrapping or covering cloth commonly made from silk or ramie).
Customize a fabric patch and learn how to stich them together! Your unique artwork will then be added to this collaborative tapestry.
The completed Community Bojagi will be unveiled during Family Sunday, on September 24, 2023. Artwork will be on display in the concourse on Level 1 until October 1.
