Family Sunday—Creativity in Motion
Family Sunday activities focus on a different, family-friendly theme each time. This week, explore themes present in Roaring: Art, Fashion, and the Automobile in France 1918–1939 with art-making activities.
Family Sunday schedule
1–4 pm, Sculpture Hall
- Design your own car or fashion inspired by the exhibition in the Create Lab.
- Enjoy the exhilaration of acceleration with the Races2U slot car racing course.
- Meet derby experts, explore the racing tradition with St. Louis Jaycee’s Foundation, and learn about their 1930s derby cars.
1–4 pm, Education Center
Help paint the Museum’s very own soapbox car. Then, cheer it on as it races in the St. Louis Jaycees Soap Box Derby on June 8, 2025. Want to race? Enter a free drawing to be the driver for this soapbox car!
2:30–3 pm, Sculpture Hall
Join us for a tour of related artwork found in the Saint Louis Art Museum collection. Space is limited, and sign-up is required. Sign-up begins at 1 pm in Sculpture Hall. The family tour leaves at 2:30 pm from the welcome desk.
