Family Sunday—Fierce and Fancy: Metal Embossing
You’re invited to the Museum every Sunday for hands-on art activities and special interactive components for kids within the galleries. Each month’s activities focus on a different, family-friendly theme.
Throughout February learn about arms and armor, and artworks from around the world celebrating this month’s theme: Fierce and Fancy: The Art of Protection.
On February 5 create your own embossed metal plate inspired by Disc for Armor, Chest, or Back Plate, which can be found in the Andrew C. and Barbara B. Taylor Gallery 259.
Explore the collection using an Arms and Armor bingo activity card.
Contribute to a community armor artwork all month long!
READ ALOUD: 1:30 and 3 pm
Join us in Gallery 126 for a guided-looking activity and a read aloud of the book Armor and Animals written by Liz Yohlin Baill.
