Family Sunday—Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration
Family Sunday activities focus on a different, family-friendly theme each time. This week celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month. In connection with In Search of America: Photography and the Road Trip take a journey on a road trip celebrating Hispanic and Latino photographers; then enjoy a performance featuring music from around South America.
Family Sunday schedule
1–4 pm, Sculpture Hall
Create your own play camera in our create lab and learn about local photographers Jackie Duty and Julia Lopez and their travels with drop-by demonstrations.
1:30 pm, Grigg Gallery
Enjoy a 30-minute performance featuring Panama Pacifico Folkloric Dancers, The Dance Society of Saint Louis, and a showcase of traditional Hispanic dresses.
2:30 pm, Sculpture Hall
Join us for a 30-minute tour of related artwork found in the Saint Louis Art Museum collection. Space is limited, and sign-up is required. Sign-up begins at 1 pm in Sculpture Hall. The Family Tour leaves at 2:30 pm from the welcome desk.
