Family Sunday—Culture in Color
Uncover the stories of the Museum’s collection on Sunday afternoons with a gallery exploration and hands-on art activities. This week highlights traditional Latin American textiles. Enjoy special performances and create an artwork to take home in the Create Lab.
Fashion is a living expression of culture—preserving traditions, communicating identity, and celebrating community. In partnership with Hispanic Festival, Inc., this Family Sunday invites visitors to explore traditional dress and cultural attire from countries across Latin America and beyond. Through clothing, textiles, and design, learn how generations have used fashion to tell stories, honor heritage, and express cultural pride.
Visit Aymara Weavings: The Indigenous Andes in Carolyn C. and William A. McDonnell Gallery 100, and enjoy the activities throughout the day.
