Family Sunday—Women’s History Month Celebration
You’re invited to the Museum every Sunday for hands-on art activities and special interactive components for kids within the galleries. Each week’s activities focus on a different, family-friendly theme.
On March 19 celebrate Women’s History Month by learning about women artists in the collection and be inspired by the influential women all around us. Create a colorful portrait of a woman you admire in this week’s hands-on art activity.
Artist Demonstration, 1-4 PM
Meet artist, Valeria ‘Val’ Rodriguez and learn about her creative process when creating Shine In All Shades and Shine In All Shades: STL Edition, coloring books celebrating women leaders in Saint Louis Today.
Watch the artist work, and meet a couple of the leaders highlighted in this book during this week’s Family Sunday!
Shine In All Shades is an empowerment & mindfulness brand centered around uplifting and celebrating diversity. Founder and Artist Valeria Rodriguez illustrated and self-published this creative wellness tool filled with positive affirmations, images of real women, therapeutic art self-care with our Shine In All Shades Empowerment Coloring Book Series, and more.
