Festive Friday
SLAM will celebrate the holiday season with free concerts, tours, gallery activations, and art-making activities every Friday from November 28 through December 19. In between programs and visits to the galleries, stop by a holiday pop-up bar in Sculpture Hall to purchase seasonal drinks and snacks.
Tickets for events in The Farrell Auditorium are available at the welcome desk in Taylor Hall beginning at 10 am the day of performance.
Festive Friday Schedule
1 pm, The Farrell Auditorium
The Gateway Guitar Quartet and St. Louis Classical Guitar Orchestra will perform a free concert of seasonal music.
3 pm and 4:30 pm, Alice and Fred Conway Gallery 217
Abby Yoder, curatorial assistant in the department of modern and contemporary art will discuss Édouard Vuillard’s painting, The Fireplace.
4 pm–8 pm, Education Center
Decorate your very own miniature winter-village house.
5 pm and 6 pm, Grigg Gallery
The Bach Society of Saint Louis will be performing a surround sound choral experience.
6 pm and 7 pm, Gallery 336
St. Louis String Collective will perform seasonal music.
7 pm, The Farrell Auditorium
Town and Country Symphony Orchestra will perform a free concert of holiday music.
7 pm, Grigg Gallery
Continuum Vocal Ensemble will perform festive choral music.
7:45 pm, Sculpture Hall
Continuum Vocal Ensemble will do a second performance of festive choral music.
