Finding Peace in Current Times
In collaboration with Arts & Faith St. Louis, the Saint Louis Art Museum is offering a day of programming called Finding Peace in Current Times. The daylong event will include film screenings; a Saint Louis Story Stitchers Artists Collective performance that includes spoken word, music, and dance; and guided interfaith tours in the SLAM collection galleries that focus on themes of light, darkness, nature, and peace.
The event is free, and no preregistration is required.

Finding Peace in Current Times schedule
11 am, The Farrell Auditorium
Peace in the Prairie Film Screening
An original presentation by Saint Louis Story Stitchers Artists Collective, Peace in the Prairie explores the concepts of peace and violence, juxtaposing urban life as experienced by African American people living in the city of St. Louis and the state’s endangered prairie lands. Running time is 70 minutes. No tickets are necessary.
3 pm, Sculpture Hall
Interfaith Tour—Light, Darkness, Nature, and Peace
Guided interfaith tours through the Saint Louis Art Museum’s galleries will focus on the themes of light, darkness, nature, and peace. Tours depart from Sculpture Hall. Space is limited, and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

A live performance by the Saint Louis Story Stitchers Artists Collective will include spoken word, music, and dance. The performance will be followed by a Q&A opportunity with the artists.
