Delve into the life of German Expressionist Paula Modersohn-Becker with Melissa Venator, Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Assistant Curator of Modern Art.

Marie Darrieussecq’s Being Here Is Everything traces the short, obscure, but prolific life of the German Expressionist painter Paula Modersohn-Becker (1876–1907). Venator will shine a light on this significant figure in modernism and discuss her travels to Modersohn-Becker’s home and gravesite.
