About the event

While Lilly Pulitzer catapulted to fashion-icon status, Suzie Zuzek, the visionary designer behind the brand, remained unknown until the discovery of her all-but-forgotten archive in Key West, Florida. Explore with Smith as she shares her serendipitous journey into the world of this amazing American artist and her quest to pull Zuzek’s name out of obscurity and into the limelight.

Smith is one of the owners of the Suzie Zuzek archive. Since 2007, her efforts to save the creative genius of Zuzek have resulted in exhibitions in New York and Palm Beach of her original watercolor drawings and the first publication to showcase the artist’s instantly recognizable designs and their impact on American fashion and culture.
