Member Lecture—Encore! Women Impressionists and the Land
Member Lectures and Book Club events are available exclusively to Museum Members. Join today!
This is a repeat of the sold-out Thursday, October 15 opening lecture of Women Impressionists and the Land.
Discover the natural world anew with Simon Kelly, curator of modern and contemporary art, in an exclusive Member lecture celebrating the opening of Women Impressionists and the Land.
Take a breathtaking stroll with Kelly through works by Mary Cassatt, Berthe Morisot, and others, revealing how nature became a site of artistic innovation, identity, and quiet resistance. These luminous works invite viewers to reconsider how women shaped Impressionism—and how their visions of nature still resonate today.
The exhibition Women and Impressionists and the Land will be open following the lecture, with the last entry at 8 pm.
