Members are invited to see Ancient Splendor first and free. Celebrate the exhibition before it opens to the public and explore the art and architecture of Rome at the time of the emperor Trajan.

Member Opening Celebration schedule
10 am–9 pm, Taylor Hall
View the exhibition before it opens to the public (last entry at 8 pm).
10 am–noon, Cafe and Exhibition Galleries
Enjoy complimentary coffee and tea in the Cafe.
Chat with volunteer educators stationed in the exhibition galleries to answer your questions.
3–6 pm, Exhibition Galleries
Chat with volunteer educators stationed in the exhibition galleries to answer your questions.
4–7:30 pm, Taylor Hall
Listen to live music.
4–8 pm, Taylor Hall
Enjoy a drink from the cash bar.
6–8 pm, The Farrell Auditorium

Ticket Information
Tickets are required to view the exhibition and opening lecture. Advance tickets can be reserved in person or through MetroTix using your Member ticket code. All tickets reserved through MetroTix incur a service charge; the service charge is waived for tickets reserved at the Museum. For your ticket code or more information, visit slam.org/MemberTickets.
After Hours Event Entry
The Museum closes to the public at 5 pm. The East Building, ticketed exhibition galleries, and The Farrell Auditorium will remain open to Members after 5 pm.
If you arrive after 5 pm please enter through the East Building entrance or the parking garage.
