Escape with us to spend time by the sea! Celebrate the opening of Matisse and the Sea before it opens to the public with a day of tranquility. Catch a glimpse of the colorful world of Henri Matisse and the sea that inspired him.

Members are invited to see Matisse and the Sea first and free. 

Tickets are required to view the exhibition and opening lecture. Advance tickets are available to reserve. Same-day tickets available while supplies last.

10 am–8 pm: View the exhibition before it opens to the public
10 am–noon: Chat with docents in the exhibition to answer your questions
Enjoy complimentary coffee or tea in the Cafe
4–8 pm: Chat with docents in the exhibition to answer your questions
Enjoy a drink at the cash bar
4–7:30 pm: Listen to live music
6 pm: Member Opening Lecture— Matisse and the Sea
