Member Opening Lecture—Paris Haute Couture
Member Lecture and Book Club events are available exclusively to Museum Members. Join today!
Be the first to explore high fashion in the exhibition Paris Haute Couture with art historian and curator Waleria Dorogova. In this discussion, Dorogova explores the celebrated ateliers of Chanel, Paul Poiret, Lanvin, Dior, Christian Lacroix, and more, revealing the artistry and innovation behind their extraordinary creations. Bringing together more than 85 haute couture dresses and ensembles, along with drawings and photographs from the Palais Galliera Museum, the exhibition offers a rare opportunity to experience many works never before shown in the United States.
The same lecture will be presented at 11 am and 6 pm. Choose the time that works best for you.
This lecture is part of a daylong Member preview celebration of Paris Haute Couture. The exhibition will be open to Members only from 10 am to 9 pm on Thursday, March 4. View the full celebration details here.
