Midwest Museum Talks: Monet/Mitchell

Midwest Museum Talks is a new program of online curatorial talks organized by the Villa Albertine Chicago. The first installment will be a virtual discussion with Simon Kelly, SLAM’s curator of modern and contemporary art, and Marianne Mathieu, curator and art historian. Complementing the exhibition Monet/Mitchell: Painting the French Landscape, the conversation will cover a range of subjects including the two artists’ attitudes to nature, abstraction, music, and poetry. This discussion will be moderated by Lionel Cuillé, founder and director of the French Connexions Center of Excellence at Washington University in St. Louis.
