Paving the Way: Native American Paintings from the First Half of the 20th Century
Join exhibition co-curator Tony Abeyta on the opening-day tour of Native American Art of the 20th Century: The William P. Healey Collection. In this rich and colorful exhibition, paintings by Native American artists tell the story of the indigenous people of this country. Through narratives of intertribal relationships, relocations, and rituals tied to animism, Native artists in the 20th century launched a movement that continues today.
