SLAM Cinema—Charade
Directed by Stanley Donen, Charade (1963) centers on Reggie Lampert (Audrey Hepburn), a recently widowed American living in Paris, who discovers her murdered husband had stolen $250,000 from the US government during World War II. Targeted by his vengeful former accomplices and pressed by a CIA administrator to recover the missing fortune, Reggie turns to a charming stranger named Peter Joshua (Cary Grant) for protection. However, as the body count rises and her ally repeatedly changes his identity, Reggie finds herself caught in a high-stakes cat-and-mouse game where she must decipher who she can actually trust. Not rated, 1 hour 53 minutes.
