About SLAM Jam

Starting at 4 pm, visitors with outdoor folding chairs may enter through the Museum’s main entrance and proceed directly to the sculpture garden. Coolers are not allowed inside the Museum. Visitors bringing coolers can walk around the outside of the Museum to reach the sculpture garden or enter the event via Valley Drive.

In the event of severe weather, the musical performance will move indoors.

The Museum is open until 9 pm on Fridays, and tickets to Art and Imagination in Spanish America, 1500–1800 are free on Fridays, so make sure to also visit the galleries. This SLAM Jam also celebrates the public opening of The Work of Art: The Federal Art Project, 1935–1943.
