SLAM Social—Always Modern
See Always Modern: German Art and Design from the Collection before it closes on March 15. Enjoy drinks from a cash bar in Sculpture Hall, and listen to UMSL Chamber Winds and UMSL Voice Studio perform the music of Kurt Weill. The music performance begins at 6:30 pm. It will include selections from Street Scene and Threepenny Music, a suite from Weill’s Threepenny Opera.
Before the music, join Melissa Venator, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Assistant Curator of Modern Art, for gallery talks at 5 and 5:30 pm.

About the UMSL Department of Music
The UMSL Department of Music offers a variety of undergraduate degrees and extraordinary performance opportunities that prepare students for careers as teachers, performers, and scholars. Students choose from a wide range of areas of study and benefit from individualized instruction by dedicated faculty members who are renowned artists, teachers, scholars, and educators. Both majors and nonmajors have the opportunity to participate in numerous ensembles, from small chamber groups to a full-size orchestra, choir, and wind ensemble.
