About Leave a Message

Leave A Message is a music-meditation initiative by Jay Taylor and Sam Thousand that aims to build community connections through group meditation, conversation, and the documentation of audio messages left by participants. No previous experience, beliefs, or training is required to participate and benefit from this complete offering.

Leave A Message is a Chicago-based duo that has been facilitating music-meditation experiences since 2023. The group is composed of Jay Taylor, a sound meditation facilitator who has offered over 2,000 live experiences; and Sam Thousand, a musician, composer, curator, and community connector who has played a pivotal role in Chicago’s music scene for nearly 15 years.
