Inspired by intricate Aymara weavings and the sculptural forms of artist Blas Isasi, this night invites you to chart an expedition through the Museum’s collection. Traverse the Museum with art making, live music, elevated cocktails and more! For guests 18+.

Level 1 and 2 Galleries
Chart a course through the galleries on our Summit scavenger hunt featuring Museum Mountain Guides (volunteer educators). This activity will take place in Carolyn C. and William A. McDonnell Gallery 100, Morton D. May and Louis D. Beaumont Foundation Gallery 111, Peper Martin Gallery 210, and Nancy and Kenneth Kranzberg Gallery 211.
Sculpture Hall

Outside the South Entrance
Unearth your knowledge and excavate a treasure at the prize wheel.

Bring a pet rock to life in the Build-a-Buddy Create Lab.

Juan William Chávez will perform a soundscape exploring themes of Andean temporality, philosophy, and cosmology. The performances will integrate samples from Peruvian psychedelic cumbia records, Andean percussion, wind instruments, Eurorack modular synthesizers, and layered delays to create a meditative and ambient soundscape.
7–10 pm, Cafe
Get the dance floor shakin’ with Umami outside the Cafe.
8:30–9:30 pm, The Farrell Auditorium
Rock out to Jesus Christ Supercar in the Auditorium.
About Juan William Chávez
Juan William Chávez is a 2012 Guggenheim Fellow in Fine Arts and an artist, organizer, and beekeeper of Indigenous Latinx and Irish descent. His interdisciplinary practice encompasses painting, installation, sound performance, knowledge-sharing workshops, and zines. Chávez’s sound performances merge samples from Peruvian psychedelic cumbia records with Andean percussion, wind instruments, Eurorack modular synthesizers, and layered delays. His work is grounded in a holistic understanding of ecology, ritual, craft, and ancestral knowledge.
